Cookie Stamps

When using cookie stamps for the first time, don’t expect 100% success. There can be a bit of a learning curve at the beginning but the good news is that any dough that isn’t quite right can go back into the mix and be re-stamped.

For the best results, after rolling out your cookie dough, sprinkle flour dough and lightly dip your stamp in flour. This flour barrier helps ensure a clean release when you lift the stamp. Re-dip the stamp in flour after every one or two stamps for the best results. If dough does get stuck, it can be because the dough is too warm or there wasn’t enough flour. Just gently clean the dough out of the stamp with a toothpick, dust with flour, and continue stamping.

If you are rolling your cookie dough into balls, rolling them in sugar is another way to create the separation between the dough and the stamp.

I’ve found that sugar cookies, shortbread cookies, speculaas cookies, and certain peanut butter cookie recipes all work well with cookie stamps. You’ll also want to avoid chopped nuts and dried fruit for the most part as that can make the stamping more challenging. Check out our Recipes page for more information on tried and true stamped cookie recipes.

Mix your favorite cookie recipe, a homemade dough with little to no leavening works best since store-bought varieties often don’t hold the impressions as well. Chill the dough for 1.5 to 2 hours until it’s cool and firm. When ready, use your hands to roll the dough into 1.5″ to 2″ balls and then roll in sugar. Use your cookie stamp to press down firmly until you see the edges of the cookie dough around the stamp. For a cleaner look, use a cookie cutter to create neat edges on your cookie.

Fondant Rollers

Our Fun Food Tools fondant rollers offer an easy way to add unique and intricate textures to your fondant, marzipan, or icing, elevating your cakes, cupcakes, and cookies. These acrylic rollers are reusable, easy to use, and simple to clean – making them a great option for all of your decorating endeavors!

Start by dusting your workstation and fondant roller with powdered sugar or cornstarch to prevent the fondant from sticking. Knead the fondant until it becomes soft and pliable; if it feels too hard, adding a bit of water can help soften it. Once your fondant reaches the desired consistency, roll it out with a rolling pin, turning it a quarter turn after each pass to maintain a smooth texture and prevent sticking.

Once your fondant is at your desired thickness, use our fondant rollers to add a unique and beautiful texture before draping it over your cake or cookie.

Ravioli Boards

These boards are ideal for making ravioli and filled cookies! Start by mixing and kneading your homemade pasta dough, then cover it and let it rest for one to two hours. The dough is ready when it is soft and pliable but doesn’t stick to your cutting board.

Once rested, roll the dough into thin sheets and press it gently into the ravioli board. Add your choice of filling before folding it over or layering it with another sheet of dough. Press firmly around the edges of the filling to seal the edges and imprint the ravioli board design. Afterward, cut each piece out, boil them, and enjoy the results of your hard work!

This board can accommodate 3 pieces at the same time. If the dough happens to stick to the board, you can easily remove it with a toothpick or brushed off with a dry brush. To maintain the quality of your board, avoid using sharp objects or soaking the ravioli board in water during cleaning.

Mini Rolling Pins

Mix your favorite cookie dough- a homemade dough with little to no leavening works best, as store-bought varieties often don’t hold the impressions well. Chill the dough for 1 to 2 hours until it’s cool and pliable, but not tough or dry. When ready, roll out the dough and sprinkle some flour over the dough. Roll the mini rolling pin over the dough to create fun impressions and then use cookie cutters to cut out fun shapes. Bake and enjoy with a cold glass of milk!
